overcame tremendous obstacles to be where she is today. To look at her now, one might never suspect that this joyful author, speaker and advocate of women and children's rights has endured so much in her own life.
Although she holds a Master's License in aesthetics, Melissa chooses instead to direct her energies into giving back what's been given to her. She is currently working with locally elected officials to form Youth At Risk programs, and is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) representative, as well as a member of Protect.org.
Having finished her first book at the age of 32, Melissa now speaks passionately and candidly on all topics of abuse. Her presentations are infused with her own experiences,
giving audiences a glimpse into a world that many never see, but that unfortunately still all too many know first-hand.
